Get to know Jordan

Jordan Marx Sprague is the live event artist behind Marx Studio. Art has always been a massive part of Jordan’s identity, and when it came time to continue her education in college she pursued further training at Savannah College of Art and Design. After gaining all of the knowledge and skills necessary at SCAD, Jordan transitioned to live painting as a career, and she admits that it has opened up a whole new world of meeting other creatives. She says, “From the clients to the photographer, floral designers, and so forth there is a constant influx of inspiration and passion for what we do. The creative talents I work alongside constantly push me to greater heights in my own work, but more importantly have become a close community of friends.” Art is a connector for many people, and Jordan and art have a similar relationship as it helps her to build relationships with people too.

“People and places constantly flood me with inspiration and the need to interpret and convey it onto a canvas. Art is the most important form of storytelling to me. It crosses all boundaries and  has no barriers,” Jordan beautifully states. You can tell that Jordan is truly passionate about what she does, and how she creates. She believes that intuition is an important aspect of painting. For her it’s intuition that keeps the energy and inspiration going from one project to the next. That is why an artist of any form is unique- because you are trusting in their vision and perspective in capturing a time and place in history. Jordan, or Marx Studio, indeed captures an event beautifully. Marx Studio has found the magic somewhere.
